The EcoFlow DELTA 3 1000 Air (model EF-DL3-A) is a 960 Wh power station designed as a home backup solution. It combines a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with a built-in inverter that delivers 500 W continuously as a pure sine wave; X-Boost mode lets it run more powerful heating appliances such as a rice cooker. It suits lighting, fans, a television, an internet router or a refrigerator during outages.
Left plugged into the mains, it takes over in under 10 ms according to the manufacturer when the grid goes down. It recharges from the mains at 500 W, in about 2 hours according to EcoFlow, from solar panels at up to 500 W through its XT60 input, from a vehicle or from a generator. The EcoFlow app, over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, shows consumption and remaining runtime and lets you adjust charging. Its compact 9.9 kg fire-resistant enclosure (UL94 V-0) has a built-in handle.
