Philips HD9318/20 Electric Kettle 1.7 L 2,200 W

The Philips HD9318/20, from the Series 3000, is a cordless electric kettle in black plastic with a 1.7 L capacity, or about 6 cups. With 1,850 to 2,200 W of power, it suits everyday tea, coffee and hot drinks for the whole family or a small office.

Its flat stainless steel heating element, concealed under the base, heats water quickly and is easy to clean. The spring lid opens at the press of a button on the handle and gives a wide opening; the kettle can also be filled through the spout. A side water level indicator and a 1-cup mark help you heat only the water you need, a pilot light shows when it is on, and the Strix controller switches it off when the water is ready, when it is lifted off the base or if it runs dry.
