The CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC belongs to MikroTik's Cloud Core Router range. It is built around a 9-core TILE processor running at 1 GHz with 2 GB of RAM, and runs RouterOS with a level 6 licence. Each Ethernet port is connected directly to the CPU, with no switch chip in between, making the device suited to routing, filtering and VPN tunnels for a business site or a medium-sized operator network.
Its passively cooled enclosure, fitted with heat pipes and a heat sink, operates silently. It can stand on a desk or be rack-mounted with the supplied ears. Power can be made redundant by connecting both the DC jack and the passive PoE input. A touchscreen LCD, a smart card slot, a microSD slot and an SFP+ port for 10 Gbit/s links complete the unit.
